How to Clean Leather Handbag

How to care for your vegetable tanned leather bag.

Your handbag has been coated with a gentle protective wax. However, we do recommend the following:

Use oil or conditioner made specifically for vegetable tanned leather. Condition your bag every 12 months or if leather appears dried. When cleaning and conditioning your leather, it may darken which is a natural process.

Do not apply leather conditioner or oil to suede leather, refer to how to care for suede leather.

Keep away from extreme heat sources and direct sunlight. This can cause leather to dry out and crack.

If leather gets wet:

Gently wipe leather with a clean dry soft cloth to remove excess moisture. Do not use water or soap to clean your bag.

Please note: Leather has been hand-dyed and with use may transfer small amount of color onto light colored clothing.

Pull Up Leather:

Your handbag has been preconditioned. Recommend you condition your bag once or twice a year.

Avoid using strong degreasing detergents as they will damage leather.

Light abrasions can be rubbed away gently using a dry soft dry cloth.
